Based in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Cracked Designs is a design company that creates greeting cards, custom wedding stationery, and freelance graphic design. Cracked Designs was started in 2007 by Tara Scheuerman, who longed to fill the creative void in her life. Starting with creating greeting cards, they have grown their line tremendously in the last few years, including stationery sets & Journey Journals. Their works has been featured in publications like, Real Simple, Milwaukee Magazine, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, House Beautiful, Frankie, Wisconsin Bride, New York Times & Wisconsin Trails, along with multiple design blogs, such as Ohdeedoh, Mixed Plate & Pret a Voyager.
Tara & Adam got hitched in 2007, which sparked their love for wedding invitations and stationery. They’ve participated in Indie Wed in Chicago the past three years and love working with the couples around.
Tara attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated with a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 2005. Adam is the creative genius behind most of the greeting card concepts, but his day gig is working as a Mechanical Engineer at a local Milwaukee company. While Tara handles all the wedding stationery design, both Tara & Adam collaborate on the greeting cards. Adam doles out the idea, and Tara brings ‘em to life.
Now that’s freakin’ teamwork.
ABOUT TARA & ADAM:
We love a good beer (heck, we love any beer), long road trips, old postcards, Milwaukee (Bayview), traveling, good design, tacky souvenir shops, vinyl records, The Brewers, and most of all - our toddler son, Beckett, who joined us in 2010.
